Greetings!
Our logo reflects the heart of our ministry. We want to see the glory of God revealed in all areas of life. This even means in the areas of helping your girls during their monthly cycle.
This past trip to Kenya we took 16 extra suitcases. (Thanks Delta, who gave us free luggage.) Half of them were filled with reusable feminine pads for young girls. (They last for up to five years.)
As soon as they arrived, they were divided up among the Spear Africa staff. Below are some of those staff.
Peter (in the middle with the stripped shirt) and his wife (to the right of him), took them to the young girls in Eastern Kenya who have no money to take care of this need. Before we even left the country, he was already distributing them.
He has an urgency to see these get out. A few months ago, a young Kenyan girl who lived near him started her period in class. She was made fun of by fellow students and by her teacher. That day she committed suicide. He knows this need is real.

While over viewing the distribution of these pads, Peter, a servant of the Most High God, did an amazing thing.
On behalf of all of the men in Kenya, he asked the girls to forgive him for the damage that had been done to them over the years from men. (Young girls can be raped, fondled, etc.) Below is him sharing.
